AAG Endorses: the Gerber Shard – NOW AVAILABLE

Like any modern gentleman, the AG appreciates the importance of being a lightweight. Not in terms of body mass or ability to consume, but rather in regard to excess baggage. A gentleman must be nimble and uninhibited by superfluous items. Whether to aid a woman and child or to reach the liquor store before 9:00 p.m., he must be ready to move quickly and without hindrance.

Despite their size in the grand scheme of things, there’s one set of items you will never find on the AG’s person: extra keys, ‘FOBs’ or ‘clickers’. Car key—house key—office key—done. In this vein, the AG endorses the Gerber Shard.

At less than 3″ in length and a mere 0.5 oz in weight, the stainless steel/titanium Shard is the perfect keychain tool for a gentleman on the move. How can something so small be so valuable? Even with its petite size, the Shard has many uses, including:

  1. flat head screwdriver
  2. phillips head screwdriver (large or small)
  3. bottle opener (twist or pry)
  4. wire stripper
  5. nail/staple puller

The good news: Gerber claims the Shard is TSA approved for air travel. The [really not that] bad news: The shard is not commercially available until February.

Time to open a cold beer, pull that loose nail out of the floorboard, or [insert task] like your wife asked you to six weeks ago and start living life better.
